Hi everyone,

Well, we took 2nd place this year in the Parade of Lights. Our entry was rolling back the gas prices to the 1950's. We were very happy with our placement, especially with what we were up against. There were wonderful entries and I worked my butt off this year on this one. We built a gas station, gas pump and car in lights. Along with that we had our gas signs up in lights to go with it. It was a ton of work, but all well worth it. I hope to post some pictures really soon.

The Parade of Lights is getting close and this year we are rolling back the times to the 50's. Our main theme to the 50's will be gas prices. We began building our 50's style gas station, pump and car which will be covered in lights. It is a tons of work, but a blast to fabricate life size themes. The boaters and families enjoy it as much as we do. Our reward is the enjoyment everyone gets from our hard work. It'll be a great year and I'll be posting some pictures when it is finished. I'll let ya know if we place this year. Sooo far 3 out of the 4 years we have placed and I'm very proud of that. Keep your fingers crossed.

Hi,

My name is Maria and I'm really enjoying everyone's artwork. I've always enjoyed art in many forms. Every year I enter the "Parade of Lights" that takes place on one of the lakes here in Michigan. You can pick your own theme, but the theme has to include lights for the night viewing.

I've done the following...
Wizard of Oz...Placed 3rd.
E.T....didn't place.
Jaws...Placed 1st.
The Statue of Liberty...Placed 2nd.

It is alot of work and everyone tries to do this with as little expense as possible. It never ends up cheap! This contest is so much fun and the people really enjoy it, including myself.

Art is so expressive, beautiful and tells a story. I enjoy fabricating wedding signs, painting, digital drawings lately...anything art related is so relaxing for me.

I hope in time I get to view all of your artwork along with getting to know you.
